Cliff Cain, President

As President of Enfer Diagnostics, Cliff Cain leads the company’s worldwide distribution of the most accurate and innovative animal diagnostics in the industry. His professional career spans more than 20 years, including key contributions to some of the biggest consumer and business-to-business brand names in the global marketplace.

In 1987, Cliff began his sales and marketing career with Black & Decker Power Tools. There he initiated and managed sales throughout Kansas and Missouri, quickly developing strong relationships with hardware stores whose primary customers included farmers and ranchers. As a result, he was a part of the initial development phases of the DeWalt Power Tool line. He later served in Black & Decker’s Industrial Tool Division in western Michigan.

In 1990, Cliff turned his talents to the healthcare industry joining Ethicon, Inc., a division of Johnson & Johnson. In his new sales role, Cliff provided medical devices to hospital operating rooms. His success landed him a variety of promotions within the organization. Ultimately in 1997, Cliff was promoted to Group Product Manager in Japan where he was responsible for developing strategies and executing plans for the Japanese J&J Ethicon organization.

In 2000, the Diagnostic Division of Abbott Laboratories recruited Cliff to join the company as its Director of Marketing for Japan. While serving in this capacity, Cliff and his team launched a variety of new products into the Japanese market. One of the most notable was SofTact, honored as the 2001 Nikkei Publishing’s “New Consumer Product of the Year.” Cliff was then assigned responsibility for Abbott’s Diabetes Division in Japan along with 13 additional countries throughout Asia.

After five years in Asia, Cliff joined the Abbott team in Chicago where he was promoted to Global Marketing Director responsible for immunoassay reagents. While in the Chicago headquarters, Cliff assumed various positions at Abbott Diagnostics, each of which provided him with deeper business and leadership skills.

Cliff holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a bachelor’s in business administration from Emporia State University in Kansas.
